It’s a known fact that Gold Coast is one of the most preferred holiday destinations in the world by both local and international tourists. Every year, the region receives millions of visitors who want to explore what Gold Coast has to offer. With the approval of the plan to develop new cruise ship terminal along the Spit north of Seaworld, it is expected that the Gold Coast holidays will rise as the number of tourists increase once the development has been fully realised.

The ASF Consortium Broadwater proposal includes a cruise ship terminal, development of resorts and hotels, entertainment precincts, as well as structure designed for retail, residential and commercial uses. The consortium is also seeking new casino license that was announced previously by the Queensland government.

As an accommodation provider on the Gold Coast, this news is definitely welcomed. It potentially means more tourists will be encouraged to visit our beautiful region to take advantage of the cruise, therefore more money will be injected into our tourism. Tourists will have an option to stay on the Gold Coast before and after they board so they get to experience what the Gold Coast holiday is all about. To give you an idea (if you haven’t been here before), you can expect lots of fun under the sun and experience some of the country’s most pristine beaches. Enjoying a Gold Coast holiday also means exploring the region’s fine restaurants and shopping areas, incredible theme parks, and untouched natural sceneries.
